Beta testing for Win 8.1 begins on June 26, so what else have we found out about it as the launch approached?
One of the most talked about aspects of Win 8 was the lack of start menu – if Win 8.1 does away with it, and other similarly boat-rocking differences, what is the incentive to get Win 8 for those who have Win 7? We will have to wait and see what Microsoft have planned… although the leaked screenshot above seems to have the Start button back.
It is expected that Windows 8.1 will be available for all Windows 8 users by the end of the year, via the Windows Store. Pocket-lint.com have a good round up of what we might expect from Windows 8.1.
